Restorative Care

Tooth Colored Fillings:

The days of metal covered teeth to cover cavities are no more. Not only are they unpleasant cosmetically because of their noticeability, they cause discoloration to the entire tooth. They often weaken the tooth as well. We are now able to turn to tooth colored fillings as a strong and more cosmetically pleasing alternative. In this process, we use a white plastic substance that is hardened using a special light.

Crowns and Bridges:

A dentist often recommends a crown when a portion of the tooth is missing or is severely damaged. There are several types of crowns that should be reviewed and discussed with your dentist.

The process of a crown-fitting requires a couple of trips to the dentist and in those visits, the dentist will remove decay, shape the tooth, make an impression, apply a temporary and ultimately a permanent crown.

A bridge is applied when a tooth is missing. It is defined as one or more replacement teeth anchored by one or more crowns on each side. We understand the frustration and embarrassment of losing a tooth unintentionally. We place a bridge to both help cosmetically as well as to keep the other teeth from drifting out of position.
